Proposal from Bear - Monday (noon?) Meeting Format Change

The proposal is to change the format of one meeting per week from "open format", to a regular topic focussing on Alcoholics with problems other than alcoholism, especially mental health issues.

There is precedent set already, within AA approved literature, with this as a meeting topic. In fact, that was the topic just a few days ago, from the Daily reflections reading.

This is NOT meant to be a form of mental health treatment, or delving into giving advice on how to treat diagnoses other than alcoholism, but rather, a meeting where the topic will regularly come directly from AA literature, such as personal stories from the Big Book, or AA pamphlets, such as The A.A. Member — Medications & Other Drugs and A.A. for Alcoholics with Mental Health Issues —and their sponsors, and then members can share on that topic, or, as always, whatever they feel the need to share.

This will be up for vote TOMORROW, 2025 April 26, at the Business Meeting, which begins at 8:30am, just after the 7am meeting.
