Potential website colour changes

Hey there everyone!
There has been some discussion of making some colour scheme changes to the website, as some feel it is perhaps a bit too dark, and would like to see more or maybe brighter colours.
When I initially created it, it was because EVERYTHING had been cancelled and shut down and it was urgent, and I just did my best to create something with the same kind of look and feel, and used the same set of colours that were used for the group's previous website. Since then, we've had a lot more new folks, lots of rotation in service positions, and the group dynamic and representation has, of course, changed accordingly.

At the July 11th Business Meeting, it was decided that we would put it out to the group to determine what folks would like to see in the way of changes to our web presence.
Now, there are a few constraints here, of which you should be aware:
There may be other things I haven't thought to mention that I could add/change pretty easily, if the Group desires, but this thread is specifically about the colours.
If you have other ideas, absolutely post a new topic for discussion!
Please let us know your thoughts on this, and if you have mockups, feel free to upload them or link to them in your replies.
Ideas will be discussed and, if there is enough interest in making changes, voted on at the next Business Meeting, which is on Saturday, August 1, at 4pm PDT.

Now, there are a few constraints here, of which you should be aware:
- The majority of the work for a new website is in the initial design - Creating the graphics, blocking everything out correctly, setting up the items that are included on every page, and creating the template for new pages, so that making an additional page or small changes to a page after that are pretty quickly and easily done.
- I write my own code, so when I say "make a template", and, "make graphics", I mean making them from scratch, not picking components from a web design tool or something and hitting save.
- That means that changing the entire structure and layout of the website would take many hours, and basically be just as time and effort consuming as creating an entirely new website, from scratch, rather than just picking some different options like on those free, "create a website with no experience" editors. (Which we can't use without running afoul of the Traditions, cause they include advertising and branding and stuff on your free site).
- What I CAN do pretty easily is change up the colours. The text colours most easily, and background colours without too much hassle.
- The LOGO is something that was voted in by Group Conscience, is the artwork of one of our members, and will not be edited.
- On a related note, any new colour scheme will need to still work with said logo, and probably the green background separators with the sayings on them, as those are actually photos of the sayings, on the wall of the original, brick and mortar Serenity Circle Hall, and an important part of the history of our group. They are colours that should go with pretty much anything though, so I don't see an issue.
